In 2007, for Series Two of the Seven Network's programme It Takes Two This year in 2008 we were once again requested to provide a Harley Davidson as a prop on the show for the Series Three Grand Final. This time the request was to supply a sidecar.
Getting the bike onto the set wasn't all that easy. The job required John to arrive at 8.30am, remove the sidecar from the bike, place the bike and sidecar on stage and then re-attach the sidecar. Then at 10pm after the show it was a reverse to get it out..
To top everything off - this was the Grand Final - Julia Morris and her supporting partner proffessional singer David Hobson actually won!
As it happens David and John are both Old Ballarat Boys. Having actually never met before John made mention of the fact that he thought he knew David's family and Julia remarked, "What a co-incidence". Then to John's great surprise David blurted out on stage that the bike was supplied by "John Karmouche from Ballarat."
Here is the clip from this year (It Takes Two Series 3) and below is from 2007 (It Takes two Series 2).
